I was a mechanical engineer in the Navy for 17 years but a chronic illness has taken me down a different path. If you told Navy-Lou, that she’d now be considered ‘creative,’ she’d have had a big laugh.
Finding book binding (which plays to my engineering pattern brain) has allowed me to make books that are treasured and gives me a meaningful activity on which to focus. I hand make books whose spines burst with memories and that have pages filled with love, in colour combos worthy of fire emojis and exclamation marks.
